>> we're thinking, she'll learn about mechanics and how to be build a car. she's definitely learned that. but at the same time, as you can tell if you're watching this, she's just talked to cnn, so she's learned about how to talk with individuals, how to inter act with adults, how to do independent research and try to apply that skill set. so there's been a whole lot of learning outside of just auto mechanics that have gone on. >> a high school in chicago has an interesting tradition where students start randomly dancing in the halls, like this guy. the man he's dancing in front of here is the dean of students and the footwork is so fancy that he dances right out of his shoe. so does the dean have a response? >> you'd better believe it. the teen took irish dance lessons as a kid and did his own moves. this youtube video is one sure way to make sure everyone shows up in school. once they've seen it, they'll always want to be there for a

1:14 am
in the months after whitney's shocking and unexpected death, the show is called the houstons on their own. i just spoke with whitney's former sister-in-law, pat houston, who stars in the show. >> we are going through what we go through. people grieve differently. you know, there's -- whatever issues or problems that we may have we stand together and we deal with it. cameras there or not. >> i have to tell you, pat was incredibly frank. she was so open with me about all the heat whitney's family has been getting for letting the cameras record their lives so soon after whitney died. and there's been a lot of heat. wait until you see what she told me. and noelle is the author of a brand new book called "branding america." and bill bellamy is starring in the it is indicated sitcom mr. box office. check your listings for show times. good to have you here and you
1:15 am
know there's been a ton of anticipation about the houston's reality show and before tonight's debut i think opinions were really split down the middle. you had so many fans who were excited to get this insider look at the family and a lot of people saying too much, too soon. when i sat down with pat houston, i asked her if she understands why the sides are so divided. let's watch. why was it important for you to do this show and so soon? >> well, you can't really -- so soon, i don't know when would be the right time -- when would be the right time? you don't know. you just continue what you always do and that's try to live. taking one -- living one day at a time. that's all we are doing. >> but i know there's also a great concern for when reality tv cameras are allowed in. people breathe differently. whatever issues or problems that

we may have, we stand together and we deal with it. cameras there or not. >> so on the show, we see nick, who has lived with whitney and with bobbi christina for years now. we see their relationship. and see the family divided about their relationship and about nick. as a matter of fact, at one point in the first episode they make a major announcement together. i want to look at that right now. >> you see mommy's ring? it is also -- it's also an engagement ring. >> say that again. >> really? >> we're engaged. >> okay. so now that they are engaged, do you find it as surprising as i do that they would expose themselves this way and so soon after whitney's death? >> to me, i think this tarnishes whitney houston's beautiful legacy and her brand and her
1:17 am
beautiful voice. we all know she had trouble toward the end but when her death came about a lot of people remembered the fond memories. this also does one thing for bobbi kristina. this gives bobbi kristina a platform in which she can introduce herself and create her brand as bobbi kristina away from whitney to see how she will fair in what she is doing. i think a lot of people, all they do not like it, i'm not a fan of this. i think they are exploiting whitney's death but i think a lot of people are curious so they will tune in. >> no. a brand new reality is hitting the family of another ledge yen. on the showbiz countdown of legendary creates, it's about the bombshell fortune left behind by robin gibbs. he was reportedly worth $148 million when he died last may from cancer. his fortune included a $24 million family home in england. a $4.1 million beach house in

1:19 am
>> steady. >> they have been. where is this interview going? >> i have to give a shoutout for juju for not losing it when rod said erections are being steady and don't say anything about his name being rod. that would be childish. can you believe rod has looked like that since he was a kid? >> i think he's an icon, man. it is so interesting, we forget back in the day they didn't have products. that was very creative. he grabbed a little cup of sugar water, warm it up. not even a microwave. probably had to do it on a stove and then -- >> stay away from the bugs if you are going to use the rod stewart method. >> yeah. what about the bees? and for 85% of guys, it regrew hair. save up to 42% now at rogaine.com.

"showbiz tonight" continues right now. welcome back to "showbiz tonight." thank you for watching. i'm a.j. hammer with our showbiz countdown of today's top three
1:31 am
showbiz mouse breakers. i'm talking super famous celebs that starred on mouseketeers in the '90s and they are breaking big news today when from brittany spears to ryan gosling to justin timberlake and justin timberlake kicks us a off at number three. today we got the first look at his wedding. those mouseketeers certainly grow up fast, don't they? "showbiz tonight" got a look at the upcoming "people" magazine. it has an exclusive look at the elegant italian wedding of a high-jumping timberlake and jessica biel. it will be on newsstands on friday but you don't have to wait. with me in new york, "people's" carlos grier. carlos, the newlyweds sat down with "people" to talk about the wedding which was very hush hush, as we know. they described it as a super romantic, super elegant affair. tell us, please, what did "people" learn that hasn't been known before about this? >> well, you know what, justin he talked to the magazine and he
1:32 am
told people from the day that he proposed to her, they have been planning this dream wedding every single day since. it was a lot of fun, a lot of tears and laughter. justin is a huge jokester. so a lot of comedic moments throughout the night, as well. >> i can only imagine the planning to keep it hush hush. we are talking about this amazing revelation about a song performed at the wedding by justin as jessica walked down the aisle. what can you tell me? what did you learn about that? >> he wrote a song specifically for her. it is an original song. it is interesting because we haven't heard justin sing in a few years. so as she walked down the aisle he sang this song for her. she told the magazine she was feeling butterflies and nervous before walking down the aisle but the moment she saw justin she felt a sense of calm and like we got this. >> that's perfect. love it. it is a truly romantic day for them. even these big stars a lot of "people" wondering about, jessica biel did speak about this, the possible name change.
1:33 am
with will we see jessica timberlake on the movie marquee, a hyphenation? what will it be? >> you're not going to see jessica timberlake on the marquis. she is changing her name but keeping her professional name jessica biel. >> what are we calling them, by the way, jessica? >> i'm not a fan of those things any way. justin's famous former girlfriend is another mouseketeer breaking news today. our number two show business mouse breaker britney spears whose disturbing break down a few years ago is front and center in the trial that continued in los angeles. her former manager is suing britney and her parents for libel and breach of contract and he testified and made wild accusations about britney. i want to bring in commentator noelle nikpour. should britney's family settle instead of letting the trial
1:34 am
play out and letting everyone know how troubled and fragile she was back then. >> i don't think they need to settle. as far as i am concern he is an enabler and he never had a signed contract. it was all verbal by britney meeting him at a club saying she was going to give him 15% of what she took in. he had done nothing but actually drive a wedge between britney and her parents. he was one of the biggest, like i said, enablers of her career. if you remember, she had her big meltdown with him at the helm. >> yeah. i guess it is important for the family to be standing their ground right now. carlos, this trial is really giving us a new glimpse in to just how troubled britney was during that time, isn't it? >> it is ugly. there are a lot of things that have been revealed. i remember during that time it wasn't pretty at all.
1:35 am
she was hospitalized a lot. what they are claiming is she apparently was abusing a lot of drugs during that time. crystal meth was found in her carpet. she shaved her hair off because she was afraid they would find drugs in her hair when she had to do a drug test and it is rehashing painful memories. >> we are learning so many new details now. i understand them standing their ground. >> britney spears finally has a wholesome, good brand again. as someone that looks at brands i think she has made a comeback. the sad thing, unfortunately, the trial is going to, you know, make people remember the crazy shaved head britney that everyone wants to put back in the past. so that is a downfall of it. what she needs to do is keep on with her celebrity websites and her facebooks and twitter. reminding people that she is solid. she is back on track and that
1:36 am
was the old britney and not the new one. >> i think you make a great point. i don't think that anyone is sitting around saying oh, she's really still that person. we are seeing how well she is doing right now and seems to be on a terrific path. i think a lot of it has to do with the conservatorship that her father took control of. as long as she continues on the current path we will keep it as part of her history. >> absolutely. >> just like britney and justin, another huge star is also someone who got his start as a mouseketeer. he is number one showbiz mouse breaker and we coined that phrase mouse breaker. he is former mouseketeer turned actor ryan gosling as you are seeing here. a canadian talk show just revealed an unbelievable video of an interview ryan did when he was 12 years old when he won his part on the mickey mouse club. even back then you had ryan who is too smooth for words. >> when you found out you got
1:37 am
the part, what did you do? >> i hit the roof. it was so fun. my mother and i were jumping around and my sister. it was amazing. the people of disney are so incredibly amazing. they are so nice. they treated us like kings and queens. we came from just our houses we had to do our own stuff and they did so much stuff. it was so neat. >> nobody made you do chores? >> no. >> do what's your favorite, singing, dancing. >> i don't have a favorite. i like to do all of them. >> are you going to do a bit, i'm not sure you can. >> there has to be a surprise. watch the show and you can see me perform. >> then i have to wait for what, you are going to tape for six months starting in may. you want to be like michael jackson. do you know his songs? >> okay. >> you can't help but smile when you watch that. noelle i'm watching closely and thinking that ryan is flirting
1:38 am
with the tv anchor. he had the movie star charm and swagger, didn't he? >> oh, my gosh. i'm sitting here watching that going, wow. he was a smooth operator at 12 years old. justin bieber has nothing on that 12-year-old ryan gosling. >> i love they released that, too. i'm sure the anchor at the time couldn't possibly have known -- i interview a lot of young stars, i have no idea they could turn out to be oscar winners one day. >> oh, yeah. >> that was loads of fun. thank you for being here for our mouse breakers tonight. as we move on tonight, katie holmes an her big tv appearance after divorcing tom cruise. tonight, an insider will reveal what it was like to work with katie holmes one day after news of her divorce from tom. supermodel carol murphy was there with katie on "project runway" and she will tell us about katie's state of mind while she was working on the show. and plus, taylor swift historic sweep.

list, kylie minogue, stacey keebler, liv tyler and as we mentioned katie holmes. i have to imagine you were all a bit shocked when she showed up considering the circumstances of the past 24 hours in her life. >> i think there were concerns that she wouldn't show up. it was actually kept quite confidential for all of us who the guest judge was going to be. but she was professional. truly lovely and walked in the room like nothing was happening. >> everybody says she has an amazing work ethic and i'm sure she needed to dive in to something. how did she do as a guest judge? >> she was incredible. articulate and well knowledged. we have to remember she actually has a line. she designs a collection. it is perfect she was there and i think she did a great job. >> good for her. who knows maybe you can get her on as a regular judge. >> i think she would be perfect. would be great and i'm sure she wants to work more and keep herself busy like you said.
1:45 am
>> so far the split of tom and katie remains the breakup of the year and the queen of turning breakups in to hit songs is about to break some records that we find astounding. at 22 years old, taylor swift is about to make history. she is the first female artist to have a pair of albums sell more than a million units in a week. on the view today she opened up about turning heart ache in to hits and how she handles heart ache in to hits and the guys she dated that thinks the song is about them. >> sometimes you just have to resort to sending like an internet name back or something. i don't know. at a certain point it is comical. a certain point past a break up you write a song like we are never, ever, ever getting back together. that means you are so over it that it is now funny. >> do you think the guys are gun shy about dating you because of that? >> that you will write a song
